About the Role:

Working in the incredible Swift Science & Technology Centre, the Junior School Science Teacher, is responsible for designing and delivering an inspiring Science Curriculum to students from Prep to Year 6. 

This is an ongoing, part time position (0.4) with days of work as per the School Timetable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver an innovative and engaging curriculum, turning the classroom into a space where curiosity fuels discovery.
  • Create flexible environments to enable each student to flourish and achieve their best.
  • Differentiate curriculum and its delivery according to needs of individual students.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to provide a holistic and integrated learning experience for our students.
About You:
To be considered for this position, you should demonstrate a genuine passion for and experience in teaching primary level Science. You will also possess the following:
  • VIT Registration and experience in delivering inspiring Science curriculum.
  • A track record of success in working within highly effective teams within a primary school setting. 
  • A well-informed understanding of contemporary learning practices, research and pedagogy.
  • Ability to develop rapport with students, staff and parents.
