About the Role:
As the Sport Coordinator, you will be responsible for supporting the successful delivery of our whole school sport program which includes weekly GSV competition across a range of sports, community sport programs and carnival sports in athletics, swimming, and cross-country. You will work closely with students and staff to empower our students to thrive on and off the field.
This role attracts an annual leave entitlement. Work is required throughout school holiday periods to support all events on the school sports calendar. To support early morning training and/or after school competitions the hours of work are either 7am - 3pm OR 11am - 7pm to be negotiated with the successful candidate, and which can be varied across the week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all sports administration, data entry and communication platforms for House and GSV sporting events.
- Manage the School Sports Calendar, team entries, venue and bus bookings.
- Plan and coordinate all aspects of the major school sporting carnivals.
- Maintain sports equipment and resources to ensure their safety.
- Provide first aid and medical assistance as required.
- Liaise with staff, external venues, and suppliers.
- Encourage student participation in sport.
- Uphold safety, wellbeing, and positive sporting values.
To be considered for this position, applicants should demonstrate a genuine passion for sport and have experience in coordinating and managing school sports programs. You will also possess the following:
- Highly collaborative, with a strong attention to detail.
- Ability to develop rapport with students, staff and parents.
- Passionate about inspiring students to participate in sport.
- Trained in first aid, anaphylaxis, CPR and asthma treatment.
- Relevant experience in sports or data administration.
- Experience in the education sector (highly desirable).
- Current Working with Children Check and First Aid Level 1 qualifications.
